Internationally, Robert worked with and resolved issues with numerous nations. These include the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Armenia, Denmark, Belgium, Greece, Iraq, Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela and several in the Caribbean. He has provided training domestically, in Europe and the Caribbean.

His efforts included managing matters involving important two and three-dimensional art and cultural patrimony. His work involved paintings, engravings and etchings, drawings, photographic works, textiles, sculptures, as well as important historical documents, antiques, numismatics, and collectibles. Priority efforts included those associated with antiquities and cultural patrimony. Matters addressed included fraud, theft, intellectual property crimes and assisting major auction houses, galleries, artists, collectors and various businesses surrounding the arts industry to resolve issues. He has experience in domestic and international organized crime and the trafficking of drugs. He has served overseas in Europe in a long-term capacity servicing joint government needs.

Among many of Robert’s awards, they include those from the Offices of the U.S. Attorney General and Inspector General; the Outstanding Public Service Award from the Archaeological Institute of America; and, the Miami Art Basel City of
Miami Beach Public Safety Award.

Robert has extensive training and notably from the Cultural Heritage Coordinating Committee, Smithsonian Institution for Antiquities and Cultural
Patrimony Anti-Trafficking. He is also a law enforcement graduate of the Gemological Institute of America.

Robert is also FBI Swat Assault and Sniper certified.

Robert retired as a Captain with the U.S. Army with in-theatre service in SW Asia/Iraq.
